I completely lost my original train of thought for this post since taking a break to catch up on a little Downton Abbey. Whoever invented DVR…thank you! I’m pretty sure I was thinking romantic, romance … something along those lines, what with Valentine’s Day in just a couple of days, when I was working on my photos. But when I finally got around to uploading them, the Lady Violet Crawly, Dowager Countess of Grantham immediately popped into my head. In all her glorious refinement … she’s a lovely aged rose! A little fragile, showing its age, the color fading, but still just as beautiful and graceful, and still as sharp as a tack (or thorn). If you have watched an episode of Downton, you’ll know exactly what I am talking about. If you haven’t, you are missing something special.
“I’m not a romantic, but even I concede that the heart does not exist solely for the purpose to pump blood.” – Lady Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham
