be thankful

Good Morning!  Getting an early start… there’s so much to fit in today, some of the usual holiday activities… and some not so traditional like catching my son’s very first 8k Turkey Trot this morning; I do love when a new tradition starts.  Then there’s some cooking, the family gathering, and of course the big finish, the turkey dinner.  It’s quiet now, a good time to reflect on all that I am thankful for… which is so very much!  I truly am blessed for everything and everyone in my life.

   Wishing you & yours a
Happy Thanksgiving

Until next time,

2013 Winter Exhibit

It might just be the Most Wonderful Time of the Year… but it is also one of the busiest.  Coming off a very successful Thanksgiving dinner for 14 (if I do say so myself, i.e. I didn’t burn anything), it’s now time for me to turn my attentions to the Doylestown Photography Club’s Winter Exhibit.

The club is hosting an exhibit of its very own, very talented group of photographers from Bucks and, yes,  Montgomery Counties, both framed and digital images will be on display for your enjoyment (and for sale).  So, if you’re looking for a winter outing, come visit us in historic Doylestown, in the heart of Bucks County!

You are cordially invited 🙂941832_557001061037896_1016202796_n

Til next time,

Lansdale Festival of the Arts

Check it out, my friend Linda were both juried into the Lansdale Festival of the Arts on August 27!  After doing some research on other Arts festivals in the area, I have learned you don’t just show up.  For some, you need to submit a sample of your work to be juried on, some request a photo of yourself in action and a photo of your booth, and of course there is usually a hefty fee involved, upwards of $100+.  With today’s economy and no guarantee on any return on that kind of investment, needless to say, there are a couple of arts festivals that I am not even trying for.  I have the rest of the summer to prepare for the three arts festivals I am participating in starting with the Lansdale Arts Fest (the only juried one) in August, and then Doylestown Art Fest (with the DPC Photography Club), September 10&11,  and Dublin Arts Fest, September 17&18.  And it is not all about the Art Festivals either, let’s not forget about the local craft festivals.  There are quite a few popular ones in the Bucks County area that run during September/October/November.  I’ll try to remember to post dates as they become available.  I guess I know what I will be doing this summer . . . matting, framing  and of course shooting =)

So mark your calendars for  August 27 and come by and see Linda and I in action!
