” The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choicless as a beach ~ waiting for a gift from the sea.”  ~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh

I have tried multiple times find the words or even a single word to describe what I feel when I look at this photograph.  Sure, there’s angry, devastated, sad, disgusted, just to name a few.  But the feeling that just keeps coming back to me is lonely ~ no people playing in the surf, no one building sand castles, no one gazing out over the blue waters, no one walking hand in hand with someone they love ~ such a lonely place.
